Everything published on DiverseTraveller by DiverseTraveller Authors and / contributors is subject to Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-No Derivative Works 2.0 UK: England & Wales, UK: Scotland and the United States licence.
- Contributions can be submitted online or via email N.B. Any emails sent addressed to 'whom it may concern' will be ignored.
- Travellers Tales (personal travel stories by women) should be no more than 900 words in length – please adhere to this, as anything longer will not be published.
- You can write about what you like, as long as you bear in mind that the reader must know why you are writing your story i.e what do you want to tell us and why should we read it? Visit our Archive for ideas of the types of contributions we are interested in.
- It would also help readers if your story could contain (where relevant) some or all of the following information (in no particular order):
- Name of countries & cities you visited.
- Length of your visit? (Some specific travel details of your visit would be helpful i.e dates, travel companies used and cost of travel);
- Why did you travel there? Did you travel for Business or for Leisure? As a volunteer?
- Did you travel alone? If not mention (frst names are fine), if not who else you travelled with and what is / was their relationship to you.
- Were you a first time traveller to this country?
- Where did you stay (mention accomodation by name and cost). What was the place like? What type of treatment did you receive while staying there?
- Describe the local people and their treatment of you. Were there any places where you were treated especially well? Were there any areas, cities, neighborhoods in which you felt un-safe or threatened?
- Over all, how would you describe your experience in the country you visited? Would you ever visit that country again? Would you recommend it to a friend or family member as a travel destination? why?
- Any reviews (e.g hotels, events, books must be no more than 450 words in length.
- Photos / images - if you have problems uploading them please send them to: editor@diversetraveller.com including the title of your contribution in the subject line. Also include the source of any images or photos. N.B. Any emails sent addressed to 'whom it may concern' will be ignored.
- Be sure to include complete contact information so we can contact you if we have any questions, and so we can enter your details into the monthly book prize draw.
